Length of red ribbon used = 3/4 foot

Length of blue ribbon used = 2/3 foot

We have to find the ratio of red ribbon used to blue ribbon used.

Ratio of red ribbon : blue ribbon = (3/4):(2/3)

So we have to divide 3/4 by 2/3.

In division of fraction , we take reciprocal of second fraction and multiply it with first fraction.

Reciprocal of 2/3 is 3/2.

MUltiplying,

(3)/(4) * (3)/(2)

=9/8

Answer: Ratio of Red ribbon used to Blue ribbon used = 9:8
