What happens to people in foster care when they turn 18?

that is up to the person who is in care, like me, i am staying where i am so i can help me foster parents out. but like my friend, she wants to get a house, find love when she turns 18.

It depends. In Illinois, you're a ward of the state untill 21. -.- almost seems like you'll be in it forever...
