The Tet Offensive was a surprise attack on US and South Vietnamese forces during the holiday of Tet. During the attack, more than 120 targets were attacked. Hue, a city 50 miles south of the boarder between North and South Vietnam, was attacked and the fighting lasted more than 3 weeks. Saigon was another city that was attacked. The US Embassy was attacked and the attack was broadcast on television.
