A staple is one our our essential goods that we do not have a good substitute for or cannot get along without.

A car is not an essential since there are many other modes of transportation: walking, biking, bus, etc.

Almost everyone would say toilet paper is essential. There is not a good alternative or substitute for toilet paper.

A television is not an essential. We would survive without it and there would not be any harm in not having one.

Specialty donuts may taste great, but they are not healthy for our bodies, so they are certainly not an essential.

ANSWER: The staple good above is B) toilet paper.

Hope this helps! :)
