I believe the answer is: Affect
Examples of an affect would be a son who is motivated to no longer waste his time playing around in order to take care of his younger sibling after both parents died in a car crash, or someone who is motivated to take martial arts course because he's sick of being helpless when other students bullied him.

The motivation that is driven by raw emotions is called Affect. Affection is a motivation of love or affection towards someone or something, encourages feeling or expressing positive emotions and improves the state of mind in general. It also decreases the sensation of negative emotions.

I hope my answer can help you.
