During the 16th century, the Catholic Church passed through an internal division or schism that is known as the Reformation. The Reformation was led by characters like Martin Luther and John Calvin and it claimed that the Church had to change many of its social aspects. One of these reforms wanted to expand access to education for women (option B) because it was important that everyone could read the Bible by themselves, so education could not be restricted for rich boys only.
