Scientists know that the moon does not have a magnetic field. This probably means that the moon does not have movements in the core.
They know this because astronauts and scientists brought pieces from the moon, and the core is not made of magnetic substance, which mean as that it won't be liquid (as there is no molten lava (or metal) within the core)
