Why is it important to use citations within your research paper?

So that you do not get accused of plagiarism and if u came up with something that helped a lot of people I am sure anybody would want the credit for it if it helped.

1. you don't want to be accused of plagiarism. If you don't correctly cite your sources, you would be committing plagiarism.

2. So people know how to find your sources.

3. So the credibility of your research can be compared with the credibility of your sources.
