In The Crucible, Abigail is a girl who works for the Proctor family. However, she soon engages in an affair with John Proctor, the husband of Elizabeth Proctor. Elizabeth becomes suspicious of Abigail, even though she does not know about the affair. This causes her to fire Abigail. However, Elizabeth does not know that Abigail will be extremely angry by this and will try to get revenge.
