The great crash took place in 1929, and it was the largest most devastating stock market crash to date. It was highly difficult for the economy to retain it's original state afterward.

The Great Crash in 1929 was the biggest stock market crash ever to occur. The Great Crash and other economic issues also caused more and more economic issues, therefore making it difficult for the economy to bounce back.
