You can get common denominator in the denominator of the original fraction so it would look like:

(4)/( (1)/(4)- (10)/(4) ) = - (1)/( (9)/(4) )

You can reciprocalize and then multiply:

4* -(4)/(9) = -(16)/(9)

So, your answer is C.
