the sum is 3x+4/x^2

But that is if the x in the second part is supposed to be squared

To find the sum of two fractions we need to make the denominator same

LCD is x^2. we need to get x^2 in the denominator of both fractions

Multiply the first fraction with x


(3 \cdot x)/( \cdot x) + (4)/(x^2)


(3x)/(x^2) + (4)/(x^2)

Denominators are same , now we add the numerators


(3x+4)/(x^2)
