The Pacific Ring of Fire is a geographic region which stretches in an arc, as the name would suggest, from New Zealand, up across East Asia, and down through Alaska, the western coast of the U.S. and Mexico, and along the Pacific coast of South America. As such, however, it does not include the northern edge of Alaska, which sits far removed from the boundary of the region.
