Animal abuse is a major cause all around the world that is causing millions of animals to get hurt and killed.
It needs to be put to a stop, or at least decreased in relevancy because it makes animals in general more violent toward humans.
Of course, it is instinct, but peace with animals will only make training, petting zoos, and having pets a more pleasant experience.
