What would be most likely to happen to a plant that had working chloroplasts in its cells but had taken in a position that kept mitochondria from working?

I think the chloroplasts would still be able to absorb sunlight and make food but since the mitochondria aren’t able to function properly the plant would have a hard time turning the food into energy.
