When the author uses the phrase “ wasn’t commonly used” she means the term A- can be heard often B- has negative connotations C- is foreign D- seems incorrect

I tried my best here.

Your answer here should be C. I used the process of elimination.

A. Can't be correct because the phrase says "wasn't commonly used", so it can't be heard often. B. Says "has negative connotations, but this isn't about connotations. And D. "Seems incorrect" doesn't make sense. Hope this helped. :)
