Why doesn’t Odysseus kill the Cyclops when he has the chance? He needs the Cyclops to move the rock blocking the cave entrance. He thought the other Cyclopses would seek revenge. He wasn't strong enough to kill him. To kill a host would be a crime against Zeus.

The correct answer is the first one because the cave door was much bigger than Odysseus and he would be unable to move it on his own. It was the only way for them to escape.
