T = Terrill's age
C = Cranston's age
Using the info provided:
C + 4 = T
T + 2 = 2C
Isolate variable:
T = 2C - 2
Your two equations:
C + 4 = T
T = 2C - 2
Set them equal to eachother:
C + 4 = 2C - 2
Solve for C
Cranston's Age = 6
Solve for T using your equation:
Terrill's age = 10
