All criminal actions are bad things to do. All prosecutions fro murder, therefore, are bad things to do, since all prosecutions for murder are criminal actions.

Invalid. This is a fallacy which is a hasty generalization. A hasty generalization is an inference drawn from insufficient evidence. Another example is the sentence "It is warmer this year in Las Vegas as compared to last year; therefore, global warming is rapidly accelerating."
