Which property applies only to addition and multiplication

The communitive(i honestly don't know how to spell it) property works for addition and multiplication, when you switch the numbers around the equal the same. Unlike when you switch the numbers around in division or subtraction you will get a completely different answer if it was vise versa.

*Commutativity*, which basically says that order does matter.

2 + 1 is the same as 1 + 2, and 3 x 4 is the same as 4 x 3.
