Explain why 6 divided by 10 = .6

6 divided by 10 equals .6 because we are dividing a smaller number by a bigger number which results in a fraction. Also 6 divided by 10 is the same as 6/10 and we know that it is also 60/100 and because it is not a whole number because the 100 or 10 represents the whole number we add a decimal in front of the 60 becuase it shows how it is 60% or .6 part of 100 or a whole number.
