Temperatures in the thermosphere can reach 2000 degrees C and sometimes even above!
Thermosphere refers to one of the layers of Earth's atmosphere - it is located above the mesosphere, at heights of 85 kilometers above the Earth. The name thermosphere comes from Greek - thermo means heat, and sphere means ball - so it is a ball of heat surrounding the Earth.
