How might mutations affect the growth of an animal?

Mutations of any different species of different backgrounds, will affect the growth of an animal. For instance an organisms DNA affects how it looks, behaves and its physiology. So the change in the organism's DNA can cause in all aspects of its life. A mutation itself is vital, or essential to evolving. Its a raw material of a genetic variation.
