Follow a simple procedure, if
y=x^n then
(dy)/(dx) = nx^(n-1) so,

y=4x^3+3x^2+2 \Rightarrow (dy)/(dx) = 12x^2+6x
(bearing in mind constant terms disappear when differentiated)
