y≥-x+1

y<4x+2

Plug in the values.

7≥-2+1
7≥-1

7 is greater than or equal to -1. This is true. 7 is greater than -1.

y<4x+2

7<4(2)+2
7<8+2
7<10

7 is less than 10. This is true.

This is a solution.

I hope this helps!

Yes. Plug in your x and y into the first given equation and you'll see why.
(7) ≥ -(2)+1
7 ≥ -1 (7 is greater than or equal to -1)

...As well as the second equation.
(7) < 4(2)+2
7 < 8+2
7 < 10 (7 is less than 10)
