Two companies in town sell gravel. Company A sells it for 11 cents a cubic foot. Company B sells it for 3 dollars a cubic yard. If you need 20 cubic yards of gravel, where should you buy it? How much money will you save?

$0.11/1ft 3ft = 1yd

$0.11 x 3ft = $0.33 $0.33 = 1yd

$0.33 x 20yd = $6.60

Company B

$3.00/1yd

$3.00 x 20yd = $60.00

$60 - $6.60 = $53.40

This was my final answer after i worked out the math, yet my answer does not correspond to the answers given....HELP!

company B because if u multiply 20×3 then you would only have to pay $60 and if u buy it from company A you would have to multiply 11×3 and then multiply 33× 20 and then you would have to pay $660 so u would save more with company B
