The right answer is It does help the cell move (so it is not its role).

The endomembrane system consists of the different membranes that are suspended in the cytoplasm of a eukaryotic cell. These membranes divide the cell into functional and structural compartments called organelles. In eukaryotes, organelles of the endomembrane system include: nuclear membrane, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, vacuoles, vesicles and endosomes. The system is more precisely defined as the set of membranes that form a single functional unit, either by being directly connected to each other, or by exchanging material through vesicular transport1. In this regard, it should be noted that the endomembrane system does not include mitochondria, peroxisome and chloroplast membranes.
