Hairspray the musical background written of what's its about.. my theater teacher needs this but I don't know anything about hairspray please help me its due by Monday.

Hairspray is a movie/musical set in the 1960's, Tracy and her friends try and push the boundaries of what can and can't be on television, it shows that if your skin is a different color or if you weigh more than someone else you aren't any less than them, they get the corny Collins show fully integrated.
