My answer is SUPERFICIALITY.

The misspelling of Dee's 3 chosen names: wangero leewanika kemanjo is an example of SUPERFICIALITY.

Dee is a character from the story "Everyday Use". In this story, Dee, an African-American, was portrayed as someone who wanted to immerse herself in her African heritage. She did this by changing her name into Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo.

Ironically, the name "wangero" means "place of stories" or "person of stories". These place/persons were the ones who told the story of their heritage, cultures, and traditions which were passed down to generations.

Dee's change in name is superficial because she only changed her appearance and treasured things based on its monetary value not on its richness in culture and identity as a heritage. She did not practice nor live the life that is vital in making their African heritage alive.
