It's the same as 2 1/4 times 8. There's an image to show why. An easy way to mentally solve it is to do 2•8=16 first, and then 8/4=2, 16+2=18. I hope this helped!!❤️

8 x 2 1/4 = 18

the stack is 18 in. thick.
