At a minimum, an animal should be closely monitored for anesthetic recovery until it:

At a minimum, an animal should be monitored until its heart rate, blood circulation, amount of oxygen (tongue should be pink ), respiration and temperature are normal. If these five things are monitored closely by someone who is very experienced, there should be no problem in anesthetic recovery.
