It depends on which product you're using. For Finish Quantum capsules and Finish All In 1 Gelpacs there is no need to remove the plastic. For Finish All In 1 Finish Powerball Tabs you should remove the plastic wrapper first before placing the unwrapped tablet in the dishwasher detergent dispenser.
