This depends on what the black soldier fly larvae will be used for, but BSFL that will be used for feeding can be stored in a container with a tightly fitting lid at 50 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit for up to two weeks without their substrate.

Is it possible to remove bsfl from their substrate?
