After WWI the US economy takes a tumble downward. Explain why demobilization after World War I lead to a temporary economic downturn?

It went down because after the war,they had many heavy casualties both allies , U.S civilians,and U.S soldiers.Also they had to pay for the materials to make the tanks,planes,equipment,and bombs.
