What will most likely happen if the hydrogen pump protein in photosystem 1 is not taking in enough H+ ions into the thylakoid

There would be a decrease in formation of NADPH, that is used in the Calvin cycle.

Step-by-step explanation:

After the energy absorption (gained from sun), an electron is released by chlorophyll which is taken up by the electron transport chain to pump hydrogen ion across the membrane. In this way H+ is pumped into the thylakoid, where ATP is produced by a process named as Chemiosmosis. After this process, the electron releases and converts NADP to NADPH (which is also an energy molecule).

Hence, the energy molecules will not be formed and all the biological processes will come to halt.
