There are different reason that made possible the blending of the Islam and Hinduism in the Timurid Empire. On the one hand, the expansion of the Mongol Empire generated a migration of many Turks from north to south, and, at the same time, stablished a Timurid Empire in the region (an Empire with Mongol and Turkish origins). On the other hand, the region where this Empire was stablish was dominated by cultures that practiced Hinduism. Nevertheless, the Turks, who had already been influenced by Persians (who at the same time had been influenced by Arabs), practiced Islam. So that, although leaders as Tamerland and Babur where Muslims, their troops practiced different religions; among them, Hinduism.
