Prose is a style that is natural and uses grammatical structure. Prose is intended to be communicable. Prose is the opposite of poetry, which has rhythmic structure but not a normal speech.

However, there is such thing as ‘prose poetry.’ Prose poetry has prose elements and a poetic technique.

In assumption, I believe you’re referring to prose.

An example of prose would be casual dialogue.

• “Hi, how are you?”
• “I’m fine, thanks.”

Another example of prose would be journalism.

• The State has passed the law of banning plastic straws.

The above are few of the many examples of prose.
