In snapdragon plants, phenomenon of incomplete dominance is observed.

Incomplete dominance is a type of inheritance in which the dominant allele can not express itself completely over the recessive allele.

It leads to the generation of intermediate phenotype in heterozygous condition.

Due to this reason, when two purebred snapdragon plants form red and white flowers are crossed, it results in the production of offspring all with pink flower that is, an intermediate phenotype of red and white.
