Selective Service Act provided manpower for all the armed forces of the United States. Men were drafted for the Army, Navy, Marines and Army Air Corps. These men served in other theatres of the war not just France. Many served in the Pacifiic theatre or one of many bases world wide. Naval and air units served all over the world.
