A farmer bought 7/8 ton of grain to feed his animals. The first week, he fed 1/6 ton of grain. How much grain does he have left?

First, you have to find the common denominator for both. Let’s say the common denominator would be 24. 1/6 = 4/24. 7/8 = 21/24. So, 21/24 - 4/24 = 7/24 ton of grain.
