Deep Ecology is a philosophical movement that promotes the worth of living beings and highlights the contribution each and every one of them gives to maintaining the balance in the ecosystem. It completely disregards the current hierarchical structure of living beings, which puts humans up on top of a pyramid-like structure and it replaces it for a structure which lacks any sort of levels or states that one being is superior to other.

Happiness is achieved when a being is able to understand the natural order of things and how do living beings interact with each other on a daily basis. It is in this moment where the individual reaches a state of complete satisfaction. It marks the distance between other temporary feeling states like pleasure and joy.
