Step 1. Divide by the numbers 0.25 (1 divided by 4):

0.25 x +2=5 divided by 8x-5

Step 2. Divide the by the numbers 0.625 (5 divided by 8):

0.25 x +2=0.625x-5

Answer: 0.25 + 2= 2.25
