0.4(3b + 10) = 19

First: Distribute

0.4 x 3b = 1.2b

0.4 x 10 = 4

1.2b + 4 = 19

Second: Subtract 4 from both sides

+ 4 - 4 cancels out

19 - 4 = 15

1.2b = 15

Third: Divide 1.2b on both sides

1.2b/1.2 cancels out

15/1.2 = 12.5

Answer: b = 12.5

Hope this Helps!!
