Does my war poem make sense?
"bombs dropping,shell shocking,finger crossing
i waited for the ice cream man whilst he waited for the medical van,
alarms sounding, children screaming, people rushing,
just because it isn't happening here doesn't mean it isn't happening ,
gunshots sounded,
i applauded,
you were wounded,
I was playing,
you were praying,
just because it isn't happening here doesn't mean it isn't happening ,
i was laughing ,
you were crying,
i was helping,
you were dying.
You were dying.
Just because it isn't happening here doesn't mean it isn't happening ."
