Decomposers are organisms like bacteria, fungi and some nematodes which break down or decompose complex organic matter into simple inorganic nutrients. In the carbon cycle, decomposers break down or decomposes dead organic matter from plants, animals and other organisms. They breakdown dead material and produce carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide goes into the atmosphere and ready to be used again in photosynthesis.
