The word “things” should be replaced by something more precise. You should avoid general words and imprecise vocabulary such as things. That is to say, it should be specified which are the things you found out in the study you completed last year. Consequently, the sentence will be more precise and more interesting to read. It is worth mentioning that this type of “vague” words are not academic since they do not follow the precise register of an academic writing and can consequently produce misunderstandings.
