The formula of a slope:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

We have the points (6, 5) and (7, j) and the slope m = 5. Substitute:

(j-5)/(7-6)=5\\\\(j-5)/(1)=5\\\\j-5=5\qquad\text{add 5 to both sides}\\\\\boxed{j=10}
