The United States transforms from a rural and agricultural society to an industrialized nation because of the Industrial Revolution that took place during the last patrt of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century.

The resulting industrialization brought many consequences, amongst them a growing urbanization, as people moved to urban areas to work in the new industries.
