In act 1 the soldiers think Macbeth is corageous and resolute. They see him as a man who fights for his king and his land. They see him strong and brave and narurally he is admired for these characteristics. In act V everything changes and after all the blood shed for the only purpose of becoming king himself, he is seen as a traitor and a sinful murderer.
