40%

As when you divide 15 with 25 you would get 0.4 which is equivalent to 40%

0.4 is basically 4/10 and if you change the top and bottom to a hundred by multiplying 10 to the top and bottom, then it will 40/100 making it 40%

A baseball team played 25 games and won 10 of the games. What percent of the games did they win?

The fraction
(10)/(25) represents the number of games they won out of all the games the baseball team played.

To find out what percent of the games the team won, we can change the fraction
(10)/(25) into a percent. We can first reduce this fraction by dividing both the numerator and denominator by the greatest common factor of 10 and 25 using 5.

Our reduced fraction is
(2)/(5).

2 ÷ 5 = 0.4

0.4 × 100 = 40%

Therefore, the baseball team won 40% of the games they played.
